PRODUCT BREAKDOWN

The dropstitch construction is a key technology used in the construction of inflatable Sled. It plays a crucial role in giving inflatable Sleds the rigidity and stability.

Base Material:

•Our inflatable Sleds are made from high-quality, durable materials such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride).

 Dropstitch Core:

•The heart of the dropstitch construction is a core of thousands of threads that connect the top and bottom layers of the board.

•These threads create a lattice-like structure throughout the interior of the board.

Construction Process:

•The dropstitch construction begins with two layers of PVC fabric. The top and bottom layers are connected by the threads using a special weaving technique.

•The threads run perpendicular to the plane of the Sled, creating a grid pattern.

•The layers are then fused together with heat and adhesive to form airtight seals.

Inflation:

•When the Sled is inflated, the air pressure causes the dropstitch core to expand, and the threads become taut.

•This process transforms the initially flat and flexible Sled into a rigid structure with a certain degree of thickness, giving it the necessary buoyancy and stability.

Rigidity and Stability:

•The dropstitch construction allows the inflatable Sled to mimic the rigidity of a hardboard when fully inflated.

•The tightly stretched threads create a strong, supportive structure that prevents the

Sled from sagging in the middle and provides stability on the water.

 Portability:

•One of the main advantages of inflatable Sleds with dropstitch construction is their portability. When deflated, the Sled can be rolled up and easily transported in a backpack, making it convenient for storage and travel.

Versatility:

•Inflatable Sleds with dropstitch construction are versatile and suitable for various water conditions, from calm lakes to gentle rivers. They are also popular among travelers and those with limited storage space.

In summary, the dropstitch construction is a critical element in the design of inflatable Sleds, providing a balance between portability and performance by allowing the Sled to be rigid when inflated and compact when deflated.
